Labels: ,
1 Feb. 2011 exercise from book "Drawing Lab for Mixed-Media Artists" by Sonheim
1. draw an eye anywhere on paper and then rotate paper 90 degrees clockwise
2. draw second different eye larger than the first and then turn paper 90 degrees clockwise
3. draw nose or snout then turn paper 90 degrees clockwise
4. draw leg or paw then turn paper 90 degrees clockwise
5. draw tail then turn 90 degrees clockwise
6. connect elements together with straight and curved lines until you think it is "right"
7. color with colored pencils and markers

goal was to create an abstracted dog reminiscent of Picasso

I cut mine out of the paper and then put it onto magazine page background and added some cut out letters and text.

Alphabet out of sequence: started with D.
