6/365 -- Christmas dress 1 by Boo Cartledge
Monday, December 06, 2010
I'd wanted to try weaving fabrics for a while, and these two prints were ideal to begin with. They also make me happy because they remind me of dresses my mother made for my sister and me when we were little for the annual Christmas program. Hers was green and mine was red, and they both had flecks of gold shot through them. 6 of 365 by Boo Cartledge. Sent to Rachel Freeman.

I've been working with fabrics for decades and with using fabric for postcards for several years. I love contemporary commercial fabrics; I find them delightful and exciting and varied and alive with color -- and the holidays have all of those things and more. 5 of 365, Boo Cartledge.
